Crime and Incident reporting contact numbers
Contact the police
The Neighbourhood Alert reporting system in no way negates the need to contact the Police with information regarding criminal activity you have witnessed. See below for when you should use the 999 system. For all other phone contact with Nottinghamshire Police please phone 101.
Add the incident to the Neighbourhood Watch system
Even if you have called the police and reported an incident you have witnessed or if you have not bothered the police but are simply suspicious about an activity, please also log every incident within this site.
Doing this will:
- Enable us to follow it up for you
- Enable the police to search the records of activities for an area at a certain time
- Enable us to compile correct incident figures and track improvements and crime waves.
- Enable us to identify areas of current high risk and seasonal crime etc.
- Enable us to assist the police to catch offenders and convict them more effectively.
Crime Stoppers
To report a crime or a suspect anonymously you can contact Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111
In an emergency dial 999
Help us to free up the 999 system for real emergencies: Dial 999:
- When life is in danger
- When a serious incident or crime is actually taking place
- To report road traffic collisions with people trapped or badly hurt.
