Theft from vehicles

Alert message sent 13/02/2012 09:34:00
Information sent on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police
Dear residents,

A theft from vehicle report has been made to the police over the weekend. The victim had left the car unlocked for two days. It does not appear anything has been taken but the glove box had been searched. This is a common theme amongst victims of car crime in Silverdale and Wilford at the moment, whereby they are leaving vehicles unlocked. Please make sure you keep vehicles, sheds, garages and houses locked at all times and do not leave anything valuable on show.

Please keep any eye out for a Blue VW Passat Estate registration number V377LKK. This vehicle has been seen in suspicious circumstance over the weekend in Wilford.

If you see this vehicle or anything suspicious in the area please contact the police on telephone 101. If a crime is in progress always contact 999 immediately.
