MANSFIELD AND DISTRICT – 7 DAYS TO THURSDAY 14th June 2018. (Sent on behalf of Mansfield District Commander Nick Butler).

Berry Hill

 

Burglary dwelling:

Overnight on Monday the porch of a house on Delamere Close was entered through an insecure door. Property was moved around in the incident but nothing was stolen.

 

In the early hours of Wednesday morning a house on Windsor Road was entered after a rear door was damaged, triggering the burglar alarm. Door keys, car keys and a purse containing bank cards were stolen, the window of the victim’s car was smashed in the incident.

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Business premises on Nottingham Road were broken into overnight on Tuesday after a pane of glass was smashed. A small amount of cash was taken.

 

Broomhill

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Tuesday afternoon an attempt was made to enter a house on Sadler Street. A neighbour disturbed the male offender, who ran away.

 

Church Warsop

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

The front number plate was stolen from a car parked on Avocet Place

 

Cumberlands

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Tuesday morning an attempt was made to break into a house on Armstrong Road. CCTV shows a male offender going through the outside bin and then trying the door handle before riding away on a bicycle.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Over the weekend a car parked on Kaye Road was deliberately scratched along one side.

 

Eakring

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

A car parked on Newgate Lane was deliberately scratched on the bonnet overnight on Monday.

 

Forest Town East

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

At some time on Sunday or Monday a car parked on Lime Grove was damaged when offenders threw a stone at it, breaking the passenger window.

 

Forest Town West

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

A white Ford Transit van was stolen from Maunleigh overnight on Wednesday.

 

Ladybrook

 

Burglary dwelling:

A resident of Bancroft Lane returned home just after midnight on Sunday to find three offenders on his garden. The offenders ran away and left in a white Vauxhall panel van. One offender dropped a knife at the scene. On inspection the victim found the marks of a crow bar on his door.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Sunday a car parked on Corporation Street was scratched and drawn on with marker pen.

 

A taxi in a service station on Rosemary Street was severely damaged by a male offender using a baseball bat on Sunday evening. The taxi driver had declined to take the male as a passenger.

 

Leeming

 

Burglary dwelling:

In the early hours of Saturday morning a resident of Marples Avenue heard noises outside the house and on investigation disturbed an offender who was attempting to enter the property.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

The passenger window of a car parked on Tewkesbury Avenue was broken overnight on Monday.

 

On Wednesday evening the nearside window of a car parked on George Street was damaged after a male offender punched the window.

 

Oak Tree

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Both number plates were stolen from a vehicle parked on Eakring Road.

 

Pleasley Hill

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Two tyres of a car parked on Abbott Road were slashed over the weekend.

 

Portland

 

Burglary dwelling:

Cash and property keys were stolen from a flat in shared accommodation on Nottingham Road by an offender known to the victim.

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Business premises on the Acorn industrial park were broken into overnight on Wednesday. It is not known if anything was stolen.

 

Priory

 

Burglary dwelling:

An elderly resident of Albert Street was targeted by offenders who stated that he owed them money, which he did not. The victim gave the offenders the money, they then took further cash as well as cheque books.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

A male was witnessed kicking and pulling off the wipers from cars parked on Park Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

 

On Wednesday afternoon paint was thrown over a vehicle parked on Roseberry Hill.

 

The window of a car parked in a service station on Leeming Lane South was smashed in a misunderstanding between the customer and the manager of the service station. The matter was dealt with via restorative justice.

 

Robin Hood

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Overnight on Friday a garage on Park Hall Road was broken into after a lock was forced, an Iphone was stolen.

 

Sherwood

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

In the early hours of Friday morning an attempt was made to break into a business outlet on St. John Street. Entry was not gained but a door was damaged in the incident. Another business on St. John Street was also targeted that night, in this case entry was gained and property stolen, including electrical equipment and a safe.

 

On Tuesday night business premises on St. John Street were entered after a window was removed, triggering the burglar alarm. Nothing was taken as the offender could not access the internal areas of the building.

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

In the early hours of Thursday 14th a car parked on Wood Street was entered after a rear side window was smashed. A mobile phone was stolen from the vehicle.

 

Town Centre

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

In the early hours of Thursday 7th an attempt was made to break into a food outlet in Rock Valley. Entry was not gained but a door was damaged in the incident.

 

On Friday afternoon a cup containing tips was stolen from a café on West Gate. The offender was a white male in his 50s.

 

Overnight on Sunday the Four Seasons were broken into and a café targeted. CCTV shows two male offenders attempting to break into the till and then stealing food and cutlery.

 

At some time on Sunday or Monday a fast food outlet on Stockwell Gate was entered after boarding was removed from a window. Property stolen included electrical items and phones.

 

Warsop Birklands

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

A group of youths were seen kicking and damaging a car parked in a car park on High Street.
